Youth organizations in Mrauk-U District, Arakan State, have joined forces to restore degraded forest areas by planting shade trees during the early rainy season.
On June 25, the Mrauk-U Youth Association (MUYA), together with young people from surrounding communities, carried out a tree-planting campaign in forest and hillside areas affected by deforestation.
The initiative was organized by MUYA in collaboration with the Arakan Wathan Social Support Association and other youth groups. Around 1,000 shade trees were planted as part of the environmental restoration effort.
The campaign aims to support reforestation, improve local ecosystems, and help communities respond to the impacts of forest loss in the region.
